Pintadera Café & Deli – our favourite cafe in West Norwood

The independent cafe serves sharing platters of cheese, meats and more, plus fresh pasta, salads, ciabatta and paninis, pasties and cakes, and there’s also vegetarian and vegan dishes available.
As you might expect from an Italian run cafe, the coffee is good, and the all-female staff were prompt, courteous and friendly.
When we’re up against a deadline and the Brixton cafes have got too busy, we’ve found it worthwhile to hop on a bus and enjoy the relative calm here.

At Brixton Buzz we’re real fans of the Café Van Gogh restaurant on Brixton Road, and tonight they’re doing an all-in, vegan Valentine’s special deal where both couples, friends and single folk are invited.
Serving tasty vegan food in a friendly, comfortable and unpretentious atmosphere, this non-profit vegan cafe has put together a three course meal for thirty quid for the night.
Inside there’s plenty of cosy seating available, plus a communal table if you’re feeling chatty – and unlike some of the trendier nu-Brixton restaurants, at Van Gogh you get proper seats, tables and cutlery so you won’t have to wrap yourself around a blanket to keep warm!
Tickets £29.99 for 3 courses and a glass of fizz on arrival (non booze available) menu to follow Starters Black bean and coffee soup or Rosemary polenta with mushroom ragu and gremolata Mains Open burrito with dark chocolate and jackfruit mole, served with caramelised pineapple, cerviche slaw, roasted garlic rice, tortilla chips.

The festival returns to Streatham Green for another day of food, music and great community vibes.
This year’s line-up features old favourites such as jerk chicken, BBQ’d fish and boozy ice creams, plus a few new stalls including Chinese street food, Indian-inspired British classics and artisan crepes.
The South Lambeth Schools’ Partnership will be showing off their school-grown produce and you can visit the Lambeth Food Flagship stall to find out more about this pioneering programme and how it can benefit you, your family and community.
The food stalls will once again be spilling out onto Babington Road Plaza and there will be plenty of space for relaxing on the green (don’t forget your picnic blanket!)
